You can do it, but be warned, if you go too dim you may lose a few bars of the digital channel display. At least that’s been my experience anyway. Just have to play around with different resistor values to find what works.

I’ve come to the conclusion that, as cool as the blue lights look, they just bother my eyes too bad at night.

Thanks Shooter. I really hadn't thought about much but I think your right. The teltek gauges that I have in red seem more soothing than the blue.

That's exactly Why all the Navy Ships use exclusively Red lights at night to operate and fly etc. It doesn't reflect off surfaces as easy or travel as far, it diffuses better ( diminishes ) and is also easier on the eye muscles to adjust to. ####pit lights are in Red. At least Naval aircraft but I wouldn't be surprised if that was true for Civilian and other Services aircraft as well. Hey @Bear135 ? What kind of lights are there in Air Force birds ?

I had that problem with my Galaxy. I ended up putting some window tint film on the display to darken it up.

@Ruthless Cut him loose. Tell him to come back in the spring. He left a suck job according to him for a better job. That didn’t work out. Why? If it was a better job he maybe should have made it work out. He made $96k a year and now you are going to help him with his responsibilities. He should man up and work to support his family until you need him. What kind of a man is willing to live off another? You should not be his base income while you are slow. Let him work another job and have him help you some to see where it goes. There is nothing to say that you and he will work out come better times. His track record seems to indicate that he needs $8k per month to get by. Do not support him. Work out some other solution with him putting forth some effort. I know I sound like a butt hole but life sucks sometimes. If you needed negative input as food for thought now you have it.
