it could be picking up stray electro waves...move the cable to the other side (if you can) and try that....

if that doesn't work, sorry, i'm done.

Preciate the help. I'll try it when I get home and see what I can get figured out and post my results.

This is as it stands currently:

    1). UNIDEN Hybrid CB/Scanner

    2). RM ITALY KL203 amp (70W)

    3). West Mountain Radio ClrSpkr
    (Digital Signal Processing) External Speaker.

Everything runs off of those binding posts. A 15A circuit.

Is there electrical noise from the truck? Yes.

    x1Heavy and Lysdexis Thank this.

Have had 5.5’ Francis, 5’ Fitestick and now a 5’ Skipshooter on a 5” spring (not shown). Factory tab mount.

Coax end bad, maybe it’ll get fixed (was waiting to find out how long I’ll be in this truck).

The amp will get you heard, and the speaker will let you hear.

It’ll clean up a tremendous amount of noise. You’ll listen to signals you couldn’t distinguish before.

Was eastbound out of ATL today (NE) on IH85. Near the SC line had a guy 14-miles ahead reporting a problem. An impressive radio rig, sure.

And the clarity was all anyone could ask for.

Keep on, OP with checking basics. Just remember that a DSP Speaker helps tremendously.

Yeah mine doesn't have the post, the 17 model I was in had them. This one also doesn't have the factory mic hook or an antenna from factory.

Is there any real benefit to peaking and tuning or just spend that money elsewhere. I like you don't know how long I'll be in this truck so don't want to throw a lot at it that ill either loose or have to remove later on.

One other thing. The mount for this one isn't that high up either. This is the setup that was on here when I moved in. 20181114_185438.jpg

Either by turning off the inverter or purchasing one that costs 10 times as much as the one that you have.
Pure sine inverters generally cost about a dollar per watt so $2,500 for a 2500 watt inverter.

Well I didnt buy this one so I'm not about to buy another. Having TV in the truck isn't that important.
