Headed out in the morning picking up honey tanks for the van headed to Conyers GA for a 10am on Wed. I volunteered to run over Thanksgiving, but the way David H messaged over the qualcomm, our shippers receivers are shutting down for the holiday so maybe deadheaded home. Doesn't hurt my feelings at all!

    Crusader66 Thanks this.

Yep. Time for a grease job on my tractor too. Gotta figure out when I can squeeze it in. Only took me three weeks to go over 8k miles.

That place in Conyers, trust the directions in the computer, the GPS system in the truck always tries to get me turn the wrong way off the interstate. If you have your own GPS maybe it will get you in there, but the directions in the computer are correct. When turning off the main drag towards the customer it’s a very tight right, you most likely will have to run up over the curb.

Thanks RM! Yikes nothing like feeling like a rookie running over curbs again! Yeehaw!! After I drop, headed to Dalton drop yard. Gonna work the holiday and run some pallets to Nebraska again and get some maintenance on my truck in Fremont or CB. Was supposed to pickup at Kawasaki in Lincoln but they took it off me. Not sure why. Will clarify tomorrow. RM, you going to the company dinner, Friday??? I wasn't but since I will be there dropping load and getting my truck serviced, why not??--------------------------------------------

Dropped in Valley, Nebraska this morning and bounced 17 miles to a customer in Fremont, picked up a preloaded trailer and dropped in Edwardsville, Illinois this afternoon. Later this evening I will pick up a broker load in Edwardsville and drop at our Fremont yard tomorrow. Friday morning I will be putting my truck in for a service and possibly some brake work. Friday evening is the company awards banquet/Christmas party in Omaha, so I plan on attending.

Then Saturday I will bounce down to a customer in a Lincoln and pick up a preloaded trailer going to Ellabell, Georgia for a delivery Monday morning. I should finish the pay period with 4085 paid miles.

Celebrated Turkey day with Arby's fried turkey sandwich with BLT at the Loves in St.Joe MO. Will hang here tonite then shower, shampoo, shave and <edited> in the morning before running these pallets to Pro Pak in Omaha. They wanted them tomorrow instead of Monday and they shall receive. Then head over to Fremont for maintenance work, change cabin filters and lube/grease. Hopefully I can borrow the car to do a little clothes shopping for the safety banquet tomorrow evening. Didn't bring anything with me. Didn't anticipate being able to make it out here. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! RM looking forward to meeting tomorrow!

Three cars available, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Got here about noon today, me and another driver went a grabbed a nice turkey dinner earlier.

Yep. Didn't have time to make it to Council Bluffs so I pulled up short where I knew I'd have a shower credit. Pacific Junction IA was hit or miss. Played it safe. Did 556 miles on Thanksgiving starting at 0545 and knocking off at 1545
    I'll take it! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Tonight, finally met Runningman and watched him win the Driver of the Year for FCC in the independent contractor category! They also give out one to the Company Driver of the Year as well! What a thrill to watch my new friend win!! FCC had four tables worth of door prizes. I even won a $50 gift card from Menards grocery store and I have been with the company just four weeks. They even gave three Flat screen TV's away!! Sure glad I was able to come and will plan on being there next year. Truly a company that treats their drivers well! Dinner consisted of porkloin, chicken breast, mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, salad, dessert at the Marriott in Omaha. Even a couple of tickets for free alcoholic beverages! Not that I imbibed. Gotta keep the eyes clear and the CDL intact! Again congratulations to Jason C. The Runningman. Great breaking bread with you. Great turnout for this affair!
