Why do you think they made the Panama canal wider?... That's because all of these ships that go to California will soon be gone to the ports of Houston , New Orleans and the ports on Florida... Because they even have had enough of California... California is doing everything they possibly can to screw themselves at doing a fine job of it.

Come on guys, California isn't that bad! Yes they have a bunch of goofy laws concerning the environment and allow, or even encourage suicidal motorcyclists to split lanes. But SoCal is a nice place to be in Winter. Obviously, driving as a team here, we see a lot of SoCal, but its nice usually. We are from East Tx, probably the opposite of California on many points, but we do enjoy Farmers Boys as well many other attributes of the Golden State.
Yes, they have the 5th or 6th ranked economy in the world but yet have a serious debt. Last time I looked over a year ago, their debt compared with their revenue ranked them behind Mississippi's wealth.
They spend billions on high speed trains they cannot complete under current financing and even more on silly socialist ideas, but isn't it a fun place to visit!
Also this will probably serve as my good-bye post as we are scheduled in Sapulpa shortly to square things away concerning our truck. Will be staying with this outfit another 2-3 months and then will me gone.
It's been real, and it's been fun, can't say its been real fun.
    Signing off, Arrogant Steve.

Hahaha. I was sweeping out my trailer this morning and another driver (different company) came over and asked if I would sweep out his trailer also. I said sure for $50.

He didn't like that price and asked why. I said there is one place in Waco (both of us going to pickup there) that does washouts on Sundays. You have to call them and wait for them to show up and they will charge $34. The extra $16 I'm charging you is a convenience fee for getting it done without waiting for someone to come to you and because now I'm actually working on a Sunday.

He walks off. I'm just about done with my trailer when another truck parks next to me. I don't think anything of it when the same guy walks back up and hands me $50 anf says he's parked next to me.

    Easiest $50 I ever made.

I do obviously. I have push broom made to get in the grooves. I don't need or want a leaf blower in the truck. Laugh all you want, but it works great and I get a small workout to help keep my sexy figure :biggrin_255:. I don't need something else I need to keep charged.

Dollars to donuts it's leaking on the lines from the motor to the compressor. That's exactly where mine was leaking. Behind the fuel filters. and the TA in California did the change cuz it's just the lines. But it requires dumping all of your coolant. I got it covered by warranty after the fact through Detroit Diesel rather than Freightliner.

I've been told that's a common leak point for my miles at the time. They also re-did the line design. Hopefully lasts longer.
