I went directly to the Swift website to see about becoming a driver. I talked to a recruiter and it sounds like a good place to start.
I've never driven a truck, but it has been something I've been wanting to get into for a career. How is the training, class time and info? And staying with them as a company driver? Just a few questions I was wanting to ask to start.
Swift to start a career?

I am in the process of waiting for my mentor to unload so I can meet up with him. He is snowed in on the east coast right now. Once I get on his truck I will be on it for 42 days.
After that, I head back to my home terminal (Gary) for three days of testing. Two of those days are for flatbed testing as I got hired on as a flatbedder. Once all of that is complete I will be given my own truck and cleared for solo. -
How are there road tests during oreintation. Graduate school in first part of December havent been in a truck since then. Should off been but got screwed over by another company, but anyways just wondering how hard the were.
