I pulled into the Walmart in Hudson, WI during a snow storm. It was the end of my driving time, mainly do to the snow. I was stopping to do some shopping and to see if I could park there. There were other trucks on the lot.

**** is not meant to cover any expletive, but to show the use.

The snow plow driver told me to get **** off the property. I told him I was coming to shop. His answer. **** off the property. I asked where I could park to shop. He said he did not care, but to get the *** off the property.

As I left, I called the store and talked to the manager. Told her what happened and that I had left. She asked me to return if I needed to. She said Walmart policy is safe haven for truckers. I told her I would come back.

As I pulled into the lot, he was stopping trucks again. Told me, I thought I told you to leave. I told him the manager asked me to return. I then called manager again and told her the license plate of the truck and she thanked me. The manager told me that there had been 3 complaints made about the company doing the plowing that day. They had not been able to determine who was making the comments.

After I parked where the manager told me to, I went inside and met the plow driver storming out of the store. He was mad.

I did my shopping and slept there peacefully.

Like the one next to the Pilot in Breaux Bridge, LA. And I saw last night that some azzhat has already run into one of them and bent the bar.

In Walmart's defense, I saw, with my own eyes, a driver running over a newly planted tree in one of the islands. My guess is that he left without saying anything.:biggrin_25512:

If I have a load on and go through the house with it, I usually park overnight at the Wally World just up from my house. It hasn't been a problem, but I'm sure it has something to do with my knowing the overnight security guard(who just happens to be an ex-driver herself), half the PD in my town, and the store manager........ maybe, but then again, they may just ignore me in spite of myself........:biggrin_2554:

The sign says no over night parking. It does not say anything about day time parking.

We all know this about Wal-Mart. The way I look at it is, If you have to stay at a Wal-Mart over night...You done some poor trip planning.

Do all Walmarts have this safe haven policy? My hubby tried to park his truck at the Super Wally Store in Sacramento and the security guard told him to move his truck. My hubby told the security guard that Walmart had a Safe Haven Policy for truckers but the guard told him that that particular Walmart didn't have that policy.:biggrin_25512:
