Yes you can get better rates but if people wanna chase a rate to brag about then this is not the company for them. Everything I know right now this is a lp program giving you a truck that comparable to buying one on ur own. That if you want to work hard and given the highest chance to get ur sea legs and make it to owning ur own truck. I’ve only seen one other program and it is pretty much identical to this one but that company only pulls dryvan and reefer. I pay for fuel and my taxes pretty much everything else is covered. Ya it’s like a glorified company guy but after my time in I can show a truck for my efforts. I got knocked all the way down to reset in finances I feel like this will be a good thing in the long haul. But time will tell

Something to think about. You're starting off with a fairly good truck. That's great.
But in five years when you pay that truck off you'll have a high mileage worn out machine that has probably already started to cost you money for repairs.
You''ll have a choice then. Either drive that beater and hope nothing expensive strands you somewhere, do overhauls on all the major components, or start all over with another new truck.
Think about where you want to be...not tomorrow or next week or even next year...think where you want to be five years from now.
The company isn't offering LP out of the goodness of their heart.Last edited: Nov 25, 2018
flightwatch, Opus, ExOTR and 3 others Thank this. -
In five years you should have around 600-650k on it. If it needs a rebuild around then or 700k or so I think you’ll still be in good shape with it. It’s a solid truck. Not saying I’m smarter than anyone because I’m definitely not, but a truck should last years and years.

Sooner or later it's going to start wearing out and costing him money. Then he'll have to figure out whether to dump a bunch of money into rebuilding...and hopefully he'll have that money set aside in a maintenance account...or LP another new one.Rugerfan Thanks this. -

Well another day at wfx over so far I’ve had a preplan at least 12 in adv of me getting to my delivery every time avg loaded length is hovering in the 800 mile zone with very low dead head getting 75 to tarp loads and things are nice first settlement was good for a short one took 1,164 to the house on 1900mile total. Iam thinker that if things keep going like they are this could turn out really good. Iam ready to get my first whole week in here this week now that turkey day is out of the way. Iam not lighting the woods on fire but it’s good. Numbers for first week are skewed a lil due to miss understanding on when fuel reset each week that burned me for 500 but gotta learn the company. Biggest thing Iam excited on was my fuel discount that I got did the figure on just one stop for comparison, this week Iam doing a avg of discount, end up getting a .74 cent discount from the pump price. We’ll see how things keep up
