It's all just a rumor goofy. They seem to fly pretty free with the way the economy is now. Yesterday I heard that all drivers from Texas were being fired. There goes the dedicated accounts here I guess.![]()

Moving away from Peterbilt is something I was told by my training coordinator out of Des Moines, I think it's more fact than rumor. Right now it seems like TMC is keeping trucks longer and I haven't seen any new Petes in the past month.

Everyone has something different to say. You never know what to believe. Kinda like wives are told, don't believe your driver is coming home til you see the whites of his eyes. Don't believe TMC is switching manufacturers until you see a TMC logo on something other than a Peterbilt. Unless of course it's an OO.
PR girls in Des Moines say it's a rumor as does Joplin. Joplin did say they were slowing down buying new ones until the economy shakes out though. -
Harrold bought the petes because of the CATS. After this year they will no longer be making them.
So yes, in fact they are moving away from the petes eventually. -
No one knows for sure but Mr. Annett why he bought the Pete's, but JMO he bought the name. You can get a CAT in a cheaper manufacturer. Does this mean(if he bought them for the CAT) that he's going with Internationals?

Nobody knows what he is going to switch to, that is the question. And no, you won't be able to get the C15 in anything else pretty soon as CAT is not going to be making those engines anymore. I can' think of a reason why my training coordinator would lie about this, it's pretty trivial big picture wise.

It is pretty trivial cplmac. As long as they go down the road is all that really matters. Take a peek at those articles I listed. They're pretty interesting. Are the CATS really going away???

Had read awhile back about that in Equipment World Mag. That just plain scares me. If you have ever had to deal with a electronically controled cornbinder motor you know what I'm yalking about. Granted IH's older mech 466's will run forever "they don't make enuff power to break anything" Hope IH's enginers don't have much input on their "C15's" Just think of how good of a job with 6.0 powerjoke
