Is it just me, or are cars trying to wreck into trucks on purpose lately?

Of those words “I” is the most important. “I don’t know where they came from “= not paying attention to a lawyer. “I couldn’t get stopped “=faulty equipment, not paying attention etc. “I”will shift blame to you.

Every driver out here should have a dash cam regardless if your company provides you one or not.

Add in that they may hear what they want to hear and “he was going east on i40 west and I swerved to avoid hitting him, but I couldn’t avoid him and ended up hitting him” becomes “I swerved and hit him” on the report.

A lawyer would tell you to say exactly nothing. The cops aren't your friends. Anything you say or do can be used against you. You always have the right to remain silent and the cops are allowed to tell you lies.

Yes! This is due to many reasons, the biggest being all the billboards, and TV ads of ambulance chasing Lawyers who are just advertising our industry in a bad light. TPeople see the mega company trucks out on the road and see dollar signs

I always see Billboards in Indiana, for some attorney called The Hammer. Every time I see them, it almost seems he is encouraging that type of behavior. I suppose he is just playing the law of averages, with people driving so aggressively. Hoping they will receive the big money phone call.

    No Sir.

You say nothing after I want a lawyer. Then shut up.

Cooperate with their demands, but repeat will talk to you with a lawyer present to anything asked of you.

This is not legal advice. And you are already on dangerous ground if the police are piling questions and comments all over you at the scene shaking your cage to see if they can get something broke loose from your big mouth.

The police are there to take in the bad guys, make charges clean up everyone and the mess. Turn it all over to the courthouse which will take a while. Even if you sat a year or three. It matters not.

If a company has a dash cam get another one for yourself, companies are protecting themselves and sometimes not you. Cover you rear as best as possible.
