    My first question is how did they get into it? Was it specialized training? Was it just van then flat bed, then heavy?

    im not a heavy haul guy whatsover but just like anything they start off in flatbed and little by little they get into wide load long loads then they might go to step deck learn that then after that that when they would join the heavy haul i think landstar offers training to learn flatbed how to tarp/secure loads
