Hey got more info on Epes??
How long is orientation for experienced drivers?
Are the trucks governed if so at what?
Thanks -
Hey mate, as far as I know for experienced drivers it's shorter...you can check calling their recruiters...I'd like to say it was 4 weeks but it could've change...some people that I know (for the local position) , it was 2-4 weeks with a trainer... about speed when I started it was at 62...and then it went up to 64 maybe 65...hope this is helpful for ya...

If you want faster trucks, look at Abilene Motor Express @72 mph.
Titan Transfer @70 mph.
MC Van Kampen trucks run 75 mph.

Frock Bros. Trucking - heard they are fast, but don't know for sure. Call and ask.

I used to work for Epes about 5 years ago. It was three days orientation. Trucks are governed at 62mph, which did not bother me. With good pIanning it did not make any difference whether I drove a bit faster or not. Generally run about 2,500-3,000 miles weekly. Mostly around 2,600. I likeed going to NY City. I t was always the same load so once you got the route down it was a piece of cake and it paid an extra $75. good benefits too. I highly recommend them.
