Hey guys does anyone know how to get rid off 42K pounds of chicken? My truck broke down and I got stuck for 3 days and Walmart rejected because it was a shelf load with “sell by date” it never happen to me before so idk wat to do. Broker saying that the customer is trying to resell it but it’s been all day now and I haven’t hear anything from them.
If you planning for a big Christmas party let me know )

Or.
Landfill it. Broker or someone pays the weight based fee. The last two loads I landfilled were about over a thousand dollars to their scale and dumped.
Or.
Donate to some lucky homeless center. Christmas is coming, they will cook up a mess of that and have it in a safe form for or prior to christmas.
Or.
Wholesale it. There are certain places that specialized in buying your stuff CHEAP and sell to those who don't mind those expiration dates too much.
Or...
Take it back to the shipper for disposal.

It's a bad deal all around. But Walmart does not want to see it, you own it all unless you can find a way to dispose of it and get someone else to pay it.
But don't take my word for it. You are looking at about what? 110K dollars in that freight load? It's not something to fool with.TallJoe, Dave_in_AZ, NavigatorWife and 1 other person Thank this. -
Just curious if “Cargo Insurance” pays out that loss. Due to the break down for 3 days like said.
Dave_in_AZ, NavigatorWife and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Park in the bad part of town, open the trailer doors, go to lunch.
When you return, all you will need to do is have the trailer washed out.Rockdoctor, motocross25, D.Tibbitt and 13 others Thank this. -
Can you produce a temperature log documenting the dates times and temperatures that coincide with this load? Many would be concerned there were issues with the maintained temperature for all that time.
x1Heavy, roshea and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
What's the date labeled on the chicken?
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Yea I have it all it’s a 2019 Reefer I can plug in the USB card and download all the times and tempeture from shipper to receiver. And I have recites from the shop. Broker just said that the shipper is on the meeting about this load so they most likely will let me know in the am
x1Heavy Thanks this. -

That was actually one of the thoughts that went thru my head. Just to give it away as much as possible. I will see what’s gonna happen on the morning. I will keep it posted -
Your freedom may depend on this.
Let the new day come in the morning and everyone should understand where that load is going.
It is unfortunate to lose much time because when I had stuff rejected FFE worked really hard to have it moving into someone else's hands in a few hours time.
If Sell By is the problem then all the temperature records in the world won't matter.bzinger and NavigatorWife Thank this.
