Horrible experience glad to see the driver made it out ok... If the fire was coming from the Wheel drum the brakes could have become cammed over.... I had a set do that to me one time and I didn't even notice it until I started smelling brakes... I pulled over and I caught it in time...

It might have been a Walmart trailer, but it must have been an outside company pulling, Walmart drivers wear white shirts.

It's odd to see a Walmart trailer with mechanical issues. Their trailers are inspected every time they're returned to a D/C.

What D/C are you talking about? I've been pulling Walmart trailers for 3 weeks now, and the only time I see one getting inspected is when I roll one by the shop to get something fixed...

See some Walmart trailers pulled by Swift. Was parked next to one for a few minutes. I promptly moved across the lot.

I guess drivers don’t know to drop the trailer first and then try to fight a brake fire? You will save the truck at least. Glad the driver is okay.

I didn't drop my trailer when my drop axle was lighting up.

I grabbed my hose, hooked up to trailer. Opened valve and doused the flame.

    Lepton1 and TallJoe Thank this.
