Have given notice at the company I work for. Mostly it was a matter of almost working. Then flounder. I’m done.
I’m going to work with a new company after 1st of the year. It’s reefer and dry van. Everything looks great.
One thing I look forward to. 90 degree backing practice. Always admired those guys backing skills. They all tell me it comes from practice. Lots of it.
Through all this. I have found out. If I choose to go O/O. Landstar is great at helping newbies achieve that.
So instead of paying down my mortgage. I may go O/O in a few years?
I do know. Right now is too iffy on the economy. Too many indicators. Too many bubbles. I’ll see. I might just like where I’m going and stay there.
Right now my gps says: 112338 :)
Merry Christmas... I’ll be out here.

I heard about the judges ruling on us being paid for all time in the truck. My company doesn’t want to see that with me. Don’t matter to me. I’m outta here.

Just posted in cellular forum on headsets. Thinking I might have the best option? Reviews from those who have, or had many, are positive. I put my reasoning in my post. Hope this might help somebody.
    Best TRUCKERS Bluetooth headset?

I recently switched to the LG tone pro. I couldn't be happier. Call quality is excellent and Its comfortable. I personally don't like the traditional over the head style

I looked into that type through Bose. (Supposedly the best?) Complaints of outgoing quality in noisy environments. I’m rationalizing it has to do with distance of mic from mouth? Need to keep the mic right on top of mouth for noise cancellation to work good?
The type you’re talking about looks very interesting though.

Think I’ll go home for Christmas.
I’m not given any days off.
Just got the schedule. Nothing from Sat through Wed.
Have to try a Thur early on wed. Otherwise can’t do the Friday run on time.

Then next week I expect similar. I’m leaving fri the 4th. Told them already. If being off the afternoon on fri 4th is a problem. Make Thur the 3rd my last day.

BTW: Home is a ten hour drive one way.

Dave_in_AZ, SingingWolf and Lepton1 Thank this.

Your company is okay with 10 hours deadhead home?

I keep my car in a storage room here.
I don’t have to worry about this much longer. Starting a real driving job Jan 7th.
