OK, so that being the case, 100% of drivers are criminals who fake there logs. Further proof that the government makes so many laws in order to make all of us criminals, therefore making it possible for them to lock anyone at anytime.

At the least, if I am surfing the internet with my computer on my steering wheel, I am off duty.

I dont care much anyway, my logbook is a series of lies, that allows me to provide for my family.....a Surgeon or Nurse can work for infinate amount of hours without sleep, if they kill someone, they loose their ability to work for 6 months(MAYBE). If a commercial driver fudges a log, and is in an accident, reguardless of fault(CMV driver always faulted when log fudges), he goes to jail and can never work in the industry again....

Great attitude you have there . You're a shining example of the type driver the bottom feeders put behind the wheel . No , you are not off duty behind the wheel no matter what you are doing . 100% of drivers aren't criminals . Some DO run 100% legal and I guarantee they are making more money than you are .

Unfortunately, there are Richard Craniums in every profession and job. Sounds like you ran across one there.

Well, for one thing, doctors get to bury their mistakes. We have to live with ours.

Oh, and for what it is worth. You ARE NOT a dirty old man. Not at twenty eight. You are still a nasty young kid, with the ambitions to become a dirty old man. You still have another twelve years to go, before you make dirty old man status.

My job takes more intelligence and talent than 90% of the trucking industry.

If I am on my 10hr break, I am free to leave the truck there, THUS I am off duty regardless of there I sit!!!

Here's something to think about, the only way out of the truck is over one of the seats, and through the door. LOL How many of you make sure you don't "sit" in the seat to get out of the truck on your break?

I just think that there should be an exception this this 'law', since the truck is your home when you are on the road. Its just ridiculous that you can be fined for sitting in the seat, while parked at a truck stop.

You obviously have reading comprehension problems so there is no point wasting time discussing it further .

Intelligent people don't risk liability making their logbook a series of lies .

Remember guys and gals. Big brother knows what's best for us. WE do not.
As a matter of fact, I need to pee but am in the sleeper. How do I log this since I'll have to exit the sleeper then sit in the drivers seat while pulling the door handle to exit the truck? :biggrin_25526:
