I told you it was not a great load. It is just another day of survival in the trucking industry. The best thing about it is it is round trip. Logging-out Bed Time

Ouch brother, dont know what trailor you got, but if its a flatbed like us, Texas as a whole is deader than a doornail, atleast the last month that we tried to get out. We were lucky to leave houston with 1.20 a mile. Right now in march IDK how its going since we are scared to go back, hence we were in Georgia, thats as far south from virginia we are going, and FL.

but internet truckstop didnt have many loads out of houston going east, but interstate had about 400 or so. Once loads start picking up and our economy gets better im sure there will be many good loads out of Houston for a flatbed.

Well another rough start. First my sleep schedule is atrocious, didn't make it to sleep until about 6am this morning and slept until about 11am. Got to Charlotte around 12:30 after stopping a few places to find one that took a fuel card.

Got to the trailer and it had been sitting a while so we discovered numerous small problems. Mostly the parts of the vibrator air hoses and connectors. Had to make 2 runs to stores for replacement parts, but not until an hour each of beating them and spraying with various solvents to try and get them going again. Then around 4pm hooked up and went to take off and the rear tandems just slid, so that took another 45 minutes changing glad hand seals and prying brakes off drums.

Called the broker and said he was fully dispatched today and to call him back at 9am tomorrow.

So, that's that and I'm going to try to get to sleep EARLY tonight!

(At least today only cost me $22)...(well plus more lost earnings)

p.s. it's good I had to come back home, because even after 25 trips from the house to the truck to make sure I was ready, I discovered I hadn't brought a single pair of underwear. There's always something...

You are already getting a little experience. Erratic sleep habits and an understanding for the necessity for plenty of clean underwear.
