I see most of their loads on the app call for a 2007 or later dry van food grade. Do they check your trailer age? Mine a 2006. I see very few loads that are not trailer age restricted

I have always thought that was the customer not Convoy. I have a similar problem because my trailer is 2005. I am not going to buy a new trailer just because Convoy wants me to. I pick and choose and they do not get too much business from me. It isn't that I dislike them. I think they are good people. Unfortunately they just don't have enough freight that pays adequately to keep me rolling. It is a shame as I would work for them all the time if they had the freight.

Would you mind telling me what you think about their rates?

Rates weren't bad last year, but idk about this year... you can bid on the loads and then call in and see if they will accept your bid... I was averaging over $2.50 per load last year on most loads... may be different now

When they were new, they had to lay out some money to get anybody to haul their stuff, now they have mr. 1.09 per mile plus fsc looking at his phone app going, 500 dollars to go 400 miles, wow, what a deal!

I dont remember rates getting really good last year until June and then it dropped off a cliff from which it never really recovered. 2017 was a slow build into a stellar year. I somehow missed the boat everyone talking about how great 2018 was. The same exact thing happened to me in 2014 everyone said 2014 was awesome but I saw rates steadily declining that year. 2013 was my best year ever really.

I suspect that some of that is how you approach your loads, but I could be wrong. I know that for me, our rates were way up all through last year, and then this year the bottom dropped out pretty hard. Not to 2017 levels, but not like it was at any point from March to October last year.
