So there I was last week, heading west on I-70 in Kansas with a hot date in Denver. Had the ACC on, relaxing, maybe singing with 70's on 7, Sirius XM. Then to my horror, I realized I was tracking a Prime truck! I was going Prime speed! Nobody wants to go full Prime! With some finely honed driving skills and a bunch of luck, I was able to get out of that situation, but my therapist says the nightmares may last another few months.
Be safe out there brothers and sisters!

    I’m not down with ACC.

It will have everyone going 43mph eventually and then a 4 wheeler will crash into the back and we’ll get blamed for going to slow by lawyers.

What’s the big deal? If you’re paying attention to your driving, you realize the slower vehicle is nearing, move over, then pass. Get on the throttle and/or kill the cruise if you need to. What’s the alternative? Do you normally wait until you bump their ICC bumper then take actions to pass?

Yes. I get it. They can slow you gradually sometimes to where you don’t notice it but it’s doing it’s job and helps to either keep you on your A game and paying attention or it keeps you from doing something stupid while you have your head down doing something you’re not supposed to be doing.

I refuse to have a Nanny Cruise on.

I want all of that cruise or nothing at all. I do my own driving.

It wotks for me. That and lane alert. I can rest my head on the steering wheel close my eyes and get a 30 min brake in while still getting miles.

It’s so subtle at times. You’re catching someone at 3-6mph and then all of sudden you realize that you slowed so gradually you didn’t even realize it. I know that doesn’t speak highly of my skill. It is what is.

I’m starting to figure mine out, I think. It will start to match the speed of the next vehicle at 3.5 seconds behind, and won’t accelerate until at least 2.5 seconds behind.

@MidWest_MacDaddy thinks it’s the greatest invention since the light bulb. :biggrin_25523:
