I work LTL 12 years and it is very very slow where I am at. Many rumors floating around. January is typically slow but this January is much slower than a typical January. It started getting slow in September but really fell off of a cliff around December 3rd.......
Got laid off today

That's a benefit of pulling reefers; no worry about job hunting. When other freight slows, food doesn't.
Lots of drawbacks, but we do what we have to do.Last edited: Jan 10, 2019
Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
My boss said last night he's reinstating his authority and will be running some reefer freight I believe if you're interested in that. There's more money in sand though and right now you'd never be more than a few hrs from home.

Not yet, I called the number you gave me yesterday and spoke to the HR guy. he said he doesnt get involved with hiring.
The terminal I told you about they barely moving this friday. thats why it doesn't come up on google. Therefore I need to be patience.
Im this close to sign up with southeastern but man they run their drivers to the ground i.e dispatch harrassing you and their management treat its drivers poorly, this what I been told by many drivers that currently work and have worked for them.
I know im sounding picky and theres no perfect company but why go somewhere where you know how they treat their drivers.Rideandrepair and Chinatown Thank this. -

Good Luck, You have a CDL. Unlike some you have a lot of choices. OD laying off is bad sign for all of us. Hope it doesn’t affect family finances too bad. Keep looking, I’ve had to take two steps back, in order to keep moving forward many times. For what it’s worth, soon to be an old memory. Keep chin up. Sometimes things end up for the better. Take time to do things you’ve been postponing, as a distraction. Best of Luck finding Work from my family to yours.
Just passing by and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.
