Oh they do. I just say I called and no one answered
Company pays me too much to driver across town for someone not to be home so I didn't go.
Plus they can't make me anything I deem "unsafe". I've told a few customer before "I ain't putting this truck in there you'll have to get a senior driver".Last edited: Jan 10, 2019

You guys think that just because you pull a longbox you just get to bump docks all day and not have to do any actual work???
That only applies to the favorites. Only they get to pick and choose what they feel like doing.LoneCowboy, Mike2633 and Fuelinmyveins Thank this. -
You have to tell them no sometimes and throw a fit if you have to. Our city dispatch used be a city driver so he understands.
We have 3 box trucks, so they can put them to work -
Mike2633 and Fuelinmyveins Thank this.

Back in the olden days before Kenosha, the GFS yard in Chicagoland used to run doubles at night time back to the main warehouse and company headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan for loading.
This is a Chicagoland transit set, probably early set I would imagine heading back to Grand Rapids with a set of empty trailers for loading. This picture was taken by Mr.Brian, in the very early 2000s.
Just a little historical trucking factoid.
