You'll get good training with Swift.
@Texas_hwy_287 idea of LTL "dock to driver" training is good also, if there's a terminal near you.
Where are you in Arizona?

Personally I think the mega carriers are the picture of what's wrong with this industry. Now with that being said... where else can a young man get started with no cdl and no money . The new guys have to start somewhere and get some seat time. Lots of people get started through a mega carrier then move on once they can. It sounds like you understand what you're getting into so that already puts you ahead of the game. Best of luck to you.

Private school is an option. This school in Phoenix, you can finance and the first payment isn't due until 45 days after graduation. Some companies will reimburse the tuition back to you in monthly installments, so that covers the payment.

Find a Location Near You (Dot Transportation)
DTI drivers work out of regional distribution centers and terminals. To ensure maximum home time, we prefer to hire drivers who live within 100 miles of our locations.

Those terminals are in some pretty dismal places.
How about posting the Swift terminals as well? There are probably 3 times as many, and in better locations. -
I've never worked for them but I see them in the ditch all the time so good luck to you man..Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
