I think at 40 below you need breathing apparatus or your lungs will freeze.

Yes at that cold you have to have a way to warm the air... Several heavy blankets pulled over your head and wrapped around entire body to hold body heat in will keep you alive if you are out of the wind and you can stay dry.

Have an online friend. He lives in the NW Territories. Same north as Fairbanks.
He said when it gets 50 below. They do nothing. Stay home. Don’t even try to start a vehicle.

Looks like a nice week coming up in the west weather wise. Now if there were just some decent paying loads to haul. Looking at a reefer load from the bay area to Denver that pays just enough to make it worth while, but getting a load out of there could be difficult. I hate looking for places to sleep around Denver.

Go find one of those big warehouses that has like 50 different businesses in it... Pick a dock, any dock.... Only downside, no restrooms.

No restrooms is a deal breaker for me. I never was one for squatting in the great outdoors, or a parking lot.

I have a load that the first delivery stop is in Denver... I usually pull through the fuel islands at the FJ on the east side of town on I-70 as I come into town. Run in and use the facilities, then go to one such warehouse to await morning. Once at my delivery they have restrooms that drivers can use.

There is a new youtube channel I started watching. He is in Yellow Knife Alaska. He is frequently seen filming out side where it is -40F. Seems all the places one goes, the companies have places where you can plug in the block heaters.
