The video started with the dash cam showing 69 mph. The driver slowed to about 50 mph as he got over into the snow in the hammer lane to make room for the broke down truck, then he gradually sped up to about 60 mph and KEPT speeding up as he was getting passed.
Why in the world would anyone want to keep speeding up into a whiteout wake blizzard??? THAT'S a good time to back WAY out of it to let that blizzard get ahead of you and THEN ease on back to your preferred speed. He lost sight of the travel lane and by the time he slowed it back down to 55 mph he was going off road.
You have to make good decisions. In conditions like that my speed might vary from 25 mph to as much as 65 mph. It depends on whether I can see, whether snow is starting to stack up in drifts, whether someone is overtaking me, etc. Speeding up into a wake blizzard is dumb.MagnumaMoose, MACK E-6, x1Heavy and 3 others Thank this. -
