I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone that smokes/smoked cigarettes. I know they are somebodys loved one, and I've lost several family members because of it, but with all we know about smoking, and have for years, what an ugly, disgusting, filthy, dangerous thing to do, AND TO CONTINUE DOING IT, I'm sorry, why would someone do that? It's as if they are asking for trouble, oh, can't happen to me. I've never smoked, and come from a time where 52% of all Americans smoked. Think about that, every other person smoked. How could something so dangerous be ok to do and smokers health problems drive the price of healthcare up for everyone. Smokers are selfish people. Smoking is just the scourge of our society.

I certainly understand where you're coming from. And I agree wholeheartedly. I wasn't looking for any sympathy, and this is not a "woe is me" kind of post. I'm just hoping someone out there might see this, and decide to change their ways.

I'm going to be as polite as I can on this post. Sir, you don't know what you are talking about. Nicotine is an addiction, and I'm addicted. I understsnd the situation, but you are so wrong and don't understand. I wish you well in your perfect life. This post is for you "Semi".

That is a high blood pressure.

OTR is really bad for you healthwise. You can park at the back of the lot and walk but the food choices are terrible for you on the road,

Like I said, I didn't share this info for a pity party or anything like that, I'm just hoping it helps someone rethink what they're doing.

I appreciate the well wishes, and even the criticism. I knew this might ruffle a feather or two, and that's fine.

@CrudeTruckin, good luck, don't give up.

    Grumppy Thanks this.

    Then quit.
It's not that hard, if they removed one of your lungs tomorrow you would have no problem quitting, so by that reasoning you can quit just as easy on your own,
do the patch for a month or so and then start your new life,

Oh, boo-hoo. I've had much less than a perfect life, but I never sucked on a cigarette. I ate jelly beans instead. Always felt smokers have a death wish, and are too chicken to pull the trigger.
