I have a few questions about tankers in Ohio. Personally I haven't pulled tanker yet, so I'm new to it all. How busy are tankers in Ohio? I live in north central Ohio between Toledo and Cleveland. I was wondering if anybody knows of any good companies for an owner op to lease on with. I've been looking at MC Tank Lines and Ergon so far. Anybody know of them? What kind of lanes are there from Ohio? Is Ohio a good state for tankers? Hometime? I see most companies are down south.

Trimac Transportation hires owner-operators and can use your hazmat there.
A&R Logistics hires owner-operators, but is not hazmat.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
What about Kuhnle Bros. east of Cleveland there? I dont know anything about them except for the green equipment.
You asked how busy tanks are in Ohio... I dont really have an answer to that but I would guess pretty busy. 80% of my work is in Ohio -

I was out in Toledo a few weeks ago at the tank wash near pbf energy's refinery and it was hoping. While I was there I briefly spoke with a girl driver for Kuhnle said she has been there a while and really liked driving for them. She had a really nice pete with a cat motor in it only thing I wasn't a fan of personally was they keep there hoses on a rack behind the cab, exposed to the elements. I prefer having them on a trailer personally, though I haven't been doing this long enough yet to really have a valid opinion on that lol.

If you want to be home often, try calling Page Transportation. (Yes the dump company) They run wastewater and other things on tanks from Buffalo, Albany & Syracuse to Detroit/Toledo. I hear the pay is pretty good.freebird95 Thanks this. -

Thanks I'll look into it. I thought about just leasing on to Page and pulling a bucket since thats what I know it's what I do now, but i figured a tanker would pay more. Do you anything about their end dumps, like what areas they mostly run or hometime, is it forced dispatch?
