Now in 2019,I’m wondering if CB transmitting still causes TVI??
I’m 56 y/o and I want to get back in to CB radio, but I live in a house with 5 other people that have TVs,and computers.
So I want to get a Midland 75-822 and a little Will ,and start transmitting again, but I don’t want to cause any interference.
So can someone tell me if it will be ok?? Thanks

No problem with cable...or flat screen TV's or much of anything else anymore since everything's gone digital...They can still mess with some cordless phones and cheap headphones and computer speakers if your running a little power tho.

Well not really, Jesse is right but only with most TVs.

I have my last browning eagle set sitting on the table hooked up to my antenna tuner going out to my multiband vertical. The table is on the same wall as one of my kid's room and when I key it up, it turns off her TV. I haven't told her about it yet and knew this for a long time.

So last night I am listening to her tv loud at 10 pm so I let the radio warm up and keyed it up, off went the tv and hear her getting mad at it. she turned it on then I keyed the radio up, it went off. She came into the radio room and ask if I could look at her tv, I said sure, went in there and turned it on and off a few times, said nothing was wrong, went back to the radio room and waited 10 minutes more and keyed the browning up, off went the tv. So she came in again and asked if I could look at it again and I said that the TV may want her to go to bed now, so maybe she should.

Demonstrate your voice-activated device (garage door, RV awning) with key fob in pocket.

Wait for the stroke of noon. Etc.

    Science and magic are indistinguishable

Only thing my radios have gotten into was my daughters headphones...And to fix that I just got a snap-on ferrite choke and stuck it on the headphones cord...problem solved... I have a RCI 2980WX hooked to a XForce 1x4 base amp, and the Cobra 2000 is hooked up with a Palomar 300A, and neither set-up causes any interference here, or with my neighbors.

Now when I had a 16 pill hooked up in the Suburban, that was a different story...That thing got into everything-"Everywhere!":D

That's a loaded question. The answer depends on how clean the signal is.
