Sorry man, one day we had roll down windows only, now there’s ac. It’s called progress. But if you want to destroy your great vision driving at night with stock Volvo halogens, feel free to.

I have a 2015 Volvo with the factory OEM halogen headlights. They are completely fine! Hell... I still get high-beamed by a few cars thinking I have my brights on when I don’t. I flash mine & they turn ‘em back off real quick! There’s no reason for anything more than that. Of course we are gonna say LED or HID whatever is better and don’t wanna go back and this is my point EXACTLY!

You have to keep your headlights cleaned & buffed to keep them from yellowing. Every few years, especially if you see moisture on the inside of housing, just pick up a brand new set of factory lights! That’s all you have to do. You can’t just say “Well these lights are 15 years old and just suck so I better buy whatever lights NASA used during the moon landing! C’mon now drivers....

Ummmm, can you not see the OBVIOUS difference here?!? Running your A/C wide open or having your windows rolled down isn’t gonna run me off the god **** road!

Some of y’all blind seat-occupiers look like you’re trying to land a commercial f***’n airplane for Christ sakes! It’s just ridiculous....

It's not the headlight lenses, they are flawed design in the reflectors of the halogen projectors.
It's a internal Design flaw, no amount of buffing will fix.

Deep space lighting has this issue will documented and the reason for the retrofits to put better quality projectors in them at a minimum.

I've also had the OEM halogen, buffed, tried bulbs , etc.. They are complete junk unless you get a better projector that doesn't have the reflector burn off problem.

Best yet, the redesigned led headlights Totally eliminate the problem that's why the old design halogens are obsolete now.

We're talking about legal , properly adjusted OEM LEDs , not the Chinese bulbs or light bar junk slapped on.

Yes seeing better without blinding people is possible, just as blinding people with piss poor halogens was possible too

So I bought these a little over a year ago
    Volvo VNL LED Projector Headlights

    Item Number: 287296
from I80. They are cheaply made and broke already. Now the lights just hang inside and bounce around. Gonna have to figure out if I can make a new way to mount the LEDs now. Anyone else have this problem?

This is why you don't buy that crap.

OEM LED headlights can't be beat for quality and no glaring

I’m going on a year with my Deep Space upgrade. I thought the price was high at first but they have held up great. I have not replaced a bulb yet.

If I did it over again I might go OEM LED but it’s more $$$ and these are amazing compared to stock.

In other news, I know this thread is a year old but I think there are only 2 people on the planet that think OEM Volvo halogens are decent, trucker2211 above and the idiot at Volvo that signed off on that mess.

Have had mine installed for 4 years now. They work fine, no issues at all. Even bought the fog lamps as well. Easy to install and just have volvo reprogram for the new lights.

It ended up being the plastic clips that hold led in place and adjust. So I just epoxy the #### out of them. Works perfect again. Ha ha
