I just started hauling fuel , still in training. Yeah pushing those buttons at the loading rack is making me nervous big time.
Had a good training load on Thursday. Diesel, premium and regular loaded and unloaded myself. I was sweating bullets and triple checked everything at the gas station

Who's paying that much up in Santa Rosa, and what racks do they load from?

It's Pilot. From what I was told, they either hit up racks in Amarillo, or Moriarty. It's tempting, but apartments and rental houses are hard to come by at the moment. Right now, my job kind of stabilized with the management and it's back to status quo for the moment.
But at the same time, I'm gauging fuel vs. line-haul turns with some high paying LTL outfit. With my current bills, it doesn't hurt to keep aiming for that higher number and such.

    RockinChair Thanks this.

I made my first mistake today and thought I was loading compartment #2 but was loading #1. Luckily I noticed it and told dispatch so I ended up being short of space for the amount requested and hauled what I could.

I can see how that can happen. Compartment # plus arm# can confuse you if not paying attention. I double checked connections before releasing anything into compartments

Yea I was using 3 arms and when I looked down the truck it really looked like I was good. When i got close i realized the arms were criss crossed and it's hard to see that from the input terminal.

I use two arms for now. Especially gotta watch out for multiblend arm. Loading full load of diesel is the best.

Well, I probably should've jumped into the Pilot job sooner. Instead, I farted around a little too long and it seems as though I'm in the "dog house" with the area manager. The fact that Santa Rosa NM doesn't have many rentals available and my reluctance to commute 2.5 hours each way doesn't help.

Getting harder to keep this small town thing alive. Not really keen on getting to back to a big state/big city with big rules.

@bentstrider83 I keep my eye on the job market in West Texas, especially Lubbock and Amarillo. But if you really want to make some money, come on down to Hobbs.
