My recruiter called me and he wanted me to come this coming Monday lol
But I asked for the following Monday.
I guess my journey is starting with Prime then!!
Any tips or recommendations what to expect?
I’m going Prime Inc. SLC, any tips?

Congratulations. That’s awesome.

dont be a company driver,they don't make
Any money.
Grab the first lease purchase truck they
Put in front of you.
That's where the big bucks,freedom,
And all the hometime you want are.
We got numerous examples of successful
Prime lease/purchase drivers on this site.
I'd look them up for you,but they always seem to
Disappear after 3 or 4 months.
Too busy counting all that money to bother
With us anymore.InTooDeep, bottomdumpin, Lumper Humper and 3 others Thank this. -
Bring what you need in one duffle bag. Clothing in the bottom section and bedding in the upper and a spare pillow case to use as a dirtty clothes hamper. (twin size). A pillow is always good if traveling by greyhound. 2 pairs of blue jeans and 7 shirts (minnimum). Plan on a week to 10 days until you might get to use laundry. Please oh please, dont be one of those trainees that show up with three large suitcases. Those people usually have to leave stuff behind as it wont fit in the cab. Also plan on having reserve money to get home. Some trainers dont get enough air to their brain and may throw you off the truck for no good reason. I am sure that has changed, yet you never know. If your using a debit card, let the bank know you may be using it on the road. Banks have a reputation of turning off a debit card when they see it being used out of state. Bring a notebook or tablet, I used a notebook at first then a tablet there after. They are useful for pretripping and for writing home (or a smart phone).

Make it through the first year and if you like it there then lease. Always have enough money to get you home. Do not let them push you if you don't feel safe. Prime is a good place to learn but you will get tired of everyone passing you. If you don't like your trainer get a new one.
