There’s no reason you can’t make seriously good money starting out.

Shoot me a PM, and I’ll be happy to share some suggestions on where to look.

    G13Tomcat and Mike2633 Thank this.

In the summertime running side dump or belly dump on the never ending eielson air Force Base f-35 project @62 hr 12 hr a day 7 days a week all Summer Long I make about $3,700 a week after taxes.
In the winter time not as good 2 or 3 trips a week from Fairbanks to prudhoe Bay anywhere from $1,500 to $2,000 a week after taxes.
If I end up having to slum it, "no good work going on" locally doing snow and hard pack removal I make about $1, 200 a week all depends on the freight situation.

But it does all depend. Work for a mega, and it will depend on both your work ethic, and who plans your loads and dispatches you. Some guys make pretty good money. Some make really poor money.

If it's not a mega, well, it depends on the company. There are some crappy companies where you won't make 30k. Some really good companies that sometimes hire new guys that pay really well.

I made 65/70 a year when I was otr/regional. Was my first such job but I worked local before that. That company does sometimes, but not often, hire rookies from school. I was home most weekends. Others good weren't, and some of those guys made less than me.

    Just a reference.

If depends on the opportunities in your area, how much you work, what kind of work you do. I'd say the pay range is from $40-80k, but you decide how much is enough. If you accept low pay & bad conditions that's on you. Don't do that.

$18.50 an hour, time and a half after 40 hrs, home every night in your own bed, etc., might be looking pretty good to you in a couple of mos.
