Ok... communication is hard, I know I know...
After coming here Thursday night, some other driver grabbed my load Friday morning... waiting since then on the customers lot... sending in a few QC messages... and four total phone calls trying to get another load... I finally PC to the local Loves to fuel and shower and just hang out here....
Yup, that’s when I get the call with QC followup.
“Just grab the next load out of there”
Really???
It took all that to finally tell me to just grab the next available??? While I can certainly do that... and will certainly do that... it just blows me away that it took a day and a half, four phone calls, and a few QC messages to finally get that... LOL

As it turns out, HQ did not forget about me. Just as I was getting good and cozy in Wintersville,
I got a deadhead assignment back to Gatorade Wytheville, followed by another load assignment to pick up a load at Gatorade the next morning (i.e. yesterday morning) and bring it to Louisville, KY.
I thought I'd delivered to all the Gatorade plants within a day's drive of Wytheville, but Louisville was new. Didn't think much else of it until I got here. Seems that this place is a plastic recycling plant, and I've been hauling a trailer full of old bottles.
The lot is a mess, one of those dirt lots with a very thin layer of gravel and a very thick layer of potholes. And I'm watching some poor dude in a forklift jostle and bump and bounce his way all over it. Hope he's got one of those inflatable cushions on his seat. Makes my back hurt just watching him.MidWest_MacDaddy, Lonesome and Silverdriver Thank this.
