I guess we've had different experiences out here. Maybe giving it the quick once over with the towel and calling it good is a loves thing.

I do believe the penalty should be high enough to ensure compliance. Your gov is pretty good at that. Make it $500,000 or whatever if caught. Make it as high as it needs to be.

You gotta ask your self. You think when that shower cleaner who makes $12/hour opens that door to find that Boris has defecated all over the toilet and he has to clean it up really cares If he uses laundry soap or not? I sure wouldnt. Matter fact I'd get the last laugh and intentionally not use any detergent on those towels. Most of them probably hate truckers anyhow. I wonder how many piss bottles they have to pick up a day?

I pity those who are told they will fuel only at loves or pilot or wherever. Too many customers and they obviously don't appreciate your business.

 

I fuel at Pilot/Flying J by choice. Works best for me. Regardless where you fuel doesnt really matter, you never know at any truckstop how well if it all the towels have been properly cleaned. Why You Should Never Share Towels That's a pretty good article.

 

The places I go to (in usa) are mostly small chains and independents. They understand the value of repeat business, in my experience everything about them is better than the big shops. I guess if you choose to continue the abuse that's up to you.
