Iv heard a lot of talk about K&B drivers being highly micromanaged and getting phone calls all hours of their 10 hr break. I wonder how chapped dispatches ### would get if you gave them a pay phone number as your only number and never answer it of course and only resond on the Qualcomm at the end of your breaks and only after you unloaded etc. I wonder if you would get fired if you ran legal but just didn’t put up with all of the pestering? Any K&B drivers pipe up.

I think anyone that would do that has WAY too much time on their hands.

Maybe it’s because I’m older (54), but I find life to be much more pleasurable by avoiding drama, strife and confrontations. Generally, just go about my own business and leave the rest to others.

My favorite thing about driving for a living, generally speaking, is the ability to go about my day without speaking to anyone for more than maybe a total of 15 minutes. Take that away and driving loses most of its appeal.

Does K&B seriously leave you alone? Every driver Iv met there says the phone calls and messages never stop ? It’s more like 15 minutes of driving 23 hours and 45 minutes of talking

Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to imply I have any knowledge of what they do. I was addressing your idea of how to combat their supposed tactics.

I’m saying that if they do those sorts of things, I would simply find somewhere else to work, as opposed to trying your idea of butting heads with them.

Just don't answer the phone if you're on you're 10 off duty , that's means you are OFF Duty and not available.

I would pick up the phone, after I put myself on duty to restart my 10hr, and let them know. "Since you called me, I put myself on duty, per fmsca, how can I help u?"

Their guaranteed pay is hilarious! You have to be available for dispatch from a Monday to Monday for a whopping $1100 dollars. Who in their right ‘effin mind devotes 7 days for $1100 dollars?

I guess to some people $1100 looks great.
I'm a company hand and had that made in 3 days.. not 7 or 8.

They just don't know any better.
