Dropped in Holdrege Sunday 10am on my way to Cali. Stopped in Pilot Laramie Wyoming. Been 4 years since Ive been to the left coast. Still love the journey, but avoiding Vail Pass.

    Is the Mrs riding along?

My wife is coming out for two weeks of her vacation the beginning of May...

dipping our toes into the “what if you quit your totally awesome job and get your CDL and run team with me” pool... first need to see if we can survive confinement in an 8x8 box with each other for two weeks... LOL

    gntorres61 Thanks this.

It ain't easy, McDaddy! You do tend to get under each other's skin after awhile. Shes been on every trip with me so far. But, no black and blue marks YET!

In Ontario CA at the TA after dropping and hooking in Redlands and shooting over to Chino for a load to KC for Monday. Yeah need to squeeze a 34 and wait for the storm to pass but may not do it in Cali. 11 left on the 70. Maybe the south route toward Flagstaff?

Take the southern route through Flag, and Tumcari to avoid Wyoming and western Nebraska

Vic Firth and gntorres61 Thank this.

Yep. Thanks. May run to to OKC then north on I 35. Wouldn't mind running US 34 from Tucumcari but I don't know if there would be enough rest areas/truckstops along the way to satisfy the wife.

Did you mean 54? It’s not bad running a few towns and lights, I go that way sometimes to break up the monotony

gntorres61 and Vic Firth Thank this.

Ok, let’s try this again, for the fifth time in as many weeks I’m back in my truck headed to Memphis for a Friday morning delivery. When empty, I will bounce 22 miles into Mississippi and pick up a load coming back to our yard in Council Bluffs.

Hopefully the truck issue is finally fixed, but to be honest I’m just waiting for that check engine light to pop anytime.

JoeyJunk, gntorres61 and Vic Firth Thank this.
