You're an idiot if you trust a corporation with your privacy. Years ago it was let out that Google sells your info, Facebook sells your info, i wonder how long before these 3rd party companies do the same. Not only that but how do we know the videos are even secure. I've had my information stolen from the Fed Gov AND the dept of the Navy. So excuse me for taking privacy seriously. -

Like I said used to I'd edge over to make room for the over width guys but now if I do I risk a call from safety. I've also had drivers come into my lane forcing me to get hit or move to shoulder.Lepton1 Thanks this. -

I never said I wanted to take it to court. But most places refuse to hand any information over if your just Joe blow. Tends to take a lawyer sending a letter requesting all footage be sent to him in x number of days or we move onto x
It's really simple, painfree and relatively cheap. I've done it several times but for other things. It just keeps everyone honest. -

I commend you for having the good sense to get on over to the fog line to allow oversized loads safely through. That's how it should be. Unfortunately large companies that hire new drivers feel like they have to install all this new "safety equipment" to insure that their drivers are doing the right thing. That's because a significant percentage of drivers, even experienced drivers, DON'T do the right thing.
I completely understand your position in regard to "legal action" in this matter. You aren't suing the company, you are simply wanting your lawyer to draft a letter demanding to see all recorded events. That's a fair way of proceeding. I have done much the same in the past, with suppliers and customers in the past. One well crafted letter from a lawyer serves notice that you see the problem and will stand your ground. I never ever had to escalate any situation beyond that letter. The other party always recognized my intent and resolved the issue immediately...
...that being said, I think your outcome in this situation may not be resolved so quickly. You have very little leverage and the company can take the position that they can simply wait you out until you quit.
The best possible outcome for your career is to start shopping for companies that don't deploy dildo shaped cattle prods in the center of the driver's seat.
