I'm skeptical. I'd either quit (if the pay wasn't commensurate), or do it anyway and say #### off to the bean counters if they try to say anything about safe maneuvers.

I wasent really clear in my wording. I am not in a position as a new driver to leave to a different company just yet. In a few months I will be making a change tho. This is also when I'll be looking to see exactly what was recorded and to have a copy for myself.
I just find it frustrating that at any point I could be watched by some unscrupulous individual with unlimited access to a view inside my truck. (Say I'm on the phone with a financial institution, or department of education etc)
I find it stupid I can be punished for AVOIDING an accident. I dont even use social media because of privacy concerns.

How many months into this gig do you have?

    Where are you located?

Do you have any desire to pull something other than a dry van or reefer? For example: flatbed, tanker, end dump, bottom dump, side dump, grain hauler, etc. etc.

One very STRONG word of advice...do NOT move sideways in your career, move UP. Many a driver changes jobs and move sideways, like from Swift to CR England for example, pulling a dry van.

Another STRONG word of advice is do NOT become a job hopper. Short stints at a number of different companies reflects poorly on your resume. The best companies look for stability. It costs thousands of dollars to hire a new driver, they want some return on that investment.

If you would be so kind as to answer the questions above, @Chinawill be along shortly with some recommended companies you can consider.

I've got 5 months in 7 to go. Wanted to move to like bulk tanker or flatbed.
My first day I rubbed a street sign no damage to sign 2inch scratch on trailer. Only incident. (Pray I dont have anymore)
The only events that have been triggered are false events. Overpass shadow, ice causing interference etc I dont have any overspeed warnings, tickets and have passed 3 inspections.
I know I'm green and not trying to have my cake and eat it to. Just would like some common sense from the higher ups. I understand a company wants to protect their assets but I want to protect my driving record.

I only do this when I've got a nice solid asphalt/concrete shoulder that is even with road surface. 99% of the time I dont even touch the rumble strips.

In New Mexico in some of the really small villages where nothing and no one moves outside due to the heat of day, I'll find the ground itself of good sufficient quality to park the 18 wheeler off road. Just have to check for rattlers and everything else.
