George, usually if your not over gross and a little heavy on the drives they aren’t going to mess with you. Remember we get a 400 lbs variance because of the APUs in most states, but not all. There should be a list in your permit book of the states that give you the APU exemption. If not, just google it.

NC FL don’t allow it because NC allows 38k on a tandem and FL allows 40k.
Colorado also allows 36k.

Dropped the Mississippi load at our CB yard this morning, picked up a loaded trailer going to Holdrege for a drop, bobtailed 76 miles to Broken Bow and picked up a preloaded trailer going Four Oaks, N.C. for Wednesday. Should be home by Wednesday about 1300, and will take 6 days off.

Dropped my load of copper wire in Lafayette IN, then was given a rush pickup in Schoolcraft MI going to Aurora NE for tomorrow. Just got to the shipper one minute before "we will load you tomorrow," but got loaded anyway and got out of there pretty quickly. Made it to the TA east of Lake Station IN. 623 miles left to drop. Gonna try hard to make it happen tomorrow. Its due tomorrow. Wish I had a 70 mph truck.
intrepidor and runningman0661 Thank this. -
