If I had a camera pointed at me all day I would be driving in my underwear, or dressed in women's clothing, or have a blow up doll sitting on my lap, and I would scratch my nuts a lot or put my hand in my shorts and make like I was jacking off, every 15 minutes.
If the company feels they need to watch what I'm doing behind the wheel, then I'm going to give them a show they won't ever forget.

Just understand before u get lawyers involved is , that the company has a better lawyer on retainer and has a bigger bank account than you considering u are the one working for them.. Dont like the cameras, right ur local politician or go to a dofferent company

The thing is lawyers aren't like playing cards. Too many people watch daytime TV and think it works by whoever has the most money to throw at the legal system.
I used a lawyer I paid 150$ to have him send a letter to an electric company worth millions but I ended up with a clean account and the #### off my credit report. In not trying to file a lawsuit here.

Agreed it could work in certain situations like u said, but i think this driver cam thing is a losing battle if he were to take it to court

I've been told the company would rather let insurance fight it out then have me swerve and risk putting the truck in a ditch.
Safety guy has told me never take the ditch and never risk putting the truck over. They would rather me let a car get smashed and it be their fault then say take the ditch or etc.

Safety people are known to be the biggest morons in the company , lets see him say that when hes behind the wheel with a suicide coil and car or bus full of kids in front of him and something happens where u either have to take the ditch or risk killing everybody in front of u, any honest man is taking the ditch, atleast i would... I agreee in not putting the truck in the ditch for some moron that cuts u off and brake checks u , but if its either kill someone else or kill myself in the ditch u better believe im taking the ditch everytime, because if u kill someone else u brtter believe the company u work for will not defend u, they only care about their company not going bankrupt from the ensuing million dollar lawsuit and will throw that driver to the wolves as he spends the rest of his life in prison

I will never tolerate an inward facing camera, or any microphone. Period. That truck is my house on the road. I guess you find out whether you have a backbone when subjects like this come up. Have to draw a line somewhere.

Tell management to open the door to their bedroom, and have a live feed camera pointed in there.

Quit. Most effective tool you have. It's a losing battle. They can do what they want with their equipment.
