Steering, I know you've move on, but if you don't mind one more time, what was your biggest issue with Bay & Bay? Was it the truck and what kind did you have? You mentioned derate issues, anything else? I'm partial to the Volvo's and Cascadias myself. Also $1.87 per mile and $2200 free and clear per week is almost unheard of in the LP game brother. Trucks? Dispatcher problems? With respect, was your fuse a little short with them, or did they really drive you crazy?

They're advertising here in Dallas area now, and say the first week has no truck payment, to get you rolling.

Looking back, did you make the right decision, for yourself, by leaving? Thanks

    Rain,
I was supposed to get an older truck (cheaper and faster to payoff) but then they got rid of that truck and only truck they had left was a 2016 Cascadia which I didn't want. So, then I changed plans and was just going to use it as a "rental" until I got mine. Now at this point I wasn't happy but I was coping. Then it went from having load choices to you either run this load or you sit. I refused load and they refused to look for another load for me. Dispatcher said that either I run his way or no way. I deadheaded 750 miles home, dropped the trailer at a shipper in Joliet IL and went home to think about what I wanted to do. Slept on it for 3 days and then bobtailed to MN and turned the truck in. They refused to change dispatcher until I was already there in person . To me, it wasn't worth all the ######## I was going thru and lease trucks are governed to 64? I wouldn't waste my time to go back. I'm not doing much of anything right now but I'm alot happier since I left .

Truck had derate issues, alignment issues, some wiring issue, driver facing camera, a delusional dispatcher, incompetent mechanics in mn that told you there wasn't a thing wrong with the truck . Then I got tired of the real cold and went down to Denton TX and they fixed the truck with the exception of the alignment. In my opinion, too many things went wrong too fast and I didn't want to put myself thru hell and be at their Mercy for every little thing.

Steering, Thank you again for spelling it all out. At first it was a truck issue for you, but then an A-hole dispatcher ruined the gig it sounds like. I've been at this about 18 years now - and a good dispatcher vs. bad can make all the difference, especially when you're paying for the truck. Final question though, if I may - for how many weeks would you say you cleared that $2200 number, more or less? And if you took time off, they still charged you the $600/700 weekly truck payment eh?

Thanks again and I hope you find what you're seeking friend :)

Mine was up at that mark for 2-3 weeks and then everything hit the fan. 2 of my buddies were doing that as well but they were running .I don't recall their schedule but it was alot of Mars candy runs. Yes they still charged for truck note when off. I think mine was 725ish a week? I'd have to try to find that info between one of the houses.

Great to know! Do we get to select dispatchers from the outset? More than one woman there? Remember her name?
