17,000 is a good price for a truck with new clutch and tranny.
PE_T Thanks this. -

Maybe 5K overpriced. The oil leak fix is a tad pricey, but not terrible. Should have been done when the tranny was out.
The big issue, how long to the overhaul. A dyno report is absolutely needed.PE_T Thanks this. -
It's a good price, but you gotta have another 20k for an engine rebuild, which will happen soon
PE_T Thanks this. -
It could need a $20000 overhaul very soon, are you prepared, or it could run several more years,

Thank you gentlemen for your advices I'm not prepared for rebuild so I'm gonna leave it. And find a better one

Yes if it was me i'd try to find one a little more money and less miles, although with the work done on that one it may not be that bad of a deal.

Ya with that many miles and not prepared for possible overhaul. You might wanna keep looking, it could go to a million before over haul or it could be only 880,000. A dyno and ecm dump should tell. Maybe just need to throw in rods and mains, to get ya to the big Mil.

I've got a 379 Pete with over 2 million on the clock, but pretty much everything on the drivetrain has been replaced at least twice.
bzinger Thanks this.
