take it off the magnet mount clean the posts and the pads on the tnd with rubbing alcohol, they can get a film on them stopping full connection. when good and clean reconnect and let charge before turning on.

My TND 730 calendar says it is August 25 2099. Anyone else have this issue? It started Sunday morning-April 7th. The dock shows no updates. Rand McNally do you have a fix?

As i know, the fix is confirmed, pending for the release..
please call them to get updated info

I heard that only X (X can be a lot) units of TND730 (Not all TND 730) have the GPS Y2K clock reset issue...

Thank you for the heads up on the pending fix.

GPS location is correct and routes as it is supposed to. The first day it acted up the clock in the lower right corner of the display was off by 3 hours. It now has the correct time displayed. When recording my fuel stops, Need to change the date to the current date. The mileage log has the correct miles for the day driven.

I'm having the same issue. My calendar is locked in August 2099 and my local clock is an hour behind (apparently did not get the message about changing the clocks to daylight savings. But the yard destination time appears correct, and the GPS is tracking fine.

Hey there I have a TND 740 that recently developed charging issues. I just noticed it has a swollen battery, and is also typically hot to the touch. I don't remember when I purchased this one though, so I don't know if it's still under warrenty. Anywhere I can purchase a replacement battery to do a swap? If so, what battery do I need to purchase? I'm not unfamilier with electronics repairs.

I have a Rand McNally TND 730 and my Arrival dates are incorrect, and my current time will be off by 1 hour sometimes and then auto correct itself. How do I fix the Arrival Date?
