Become popular again in 08 model year thanks to after tratment. Frame space is a premium on our dump trucks and daycab tractors. All of ours use three group 31 optima yellow top AGM batteries. Works out pretty well.

 

I can remember some late 90's GM cars had them under the backseat in a sedan.

as much i know man is only one that cannot have them back. scania could even get below cab as special order

 

The longer the distance from batteries to starter the greater the loss of cranking power......especially in cold weather.
