He’s in an episode in season 5 I think, it’s when they’re in Alberta. They pull a truck around a corner and he’s the first one in the back up waiting to go.

I've very rarely touched a Truck I drove. Mainly because it was a company Truck and they strictly forbid that at some companies. Throw in the fact that I have been completely and utterly ignored at times when I've correctly diagnosed the problem. Even worse, some of the clowns in maintenance think I'm trying to have a size contest. I don't give a flip about some guys ego problem, I just want the Truck fixed.
I never got into a verbal disagreement with any of them. There was no point, I wasn't allowed to work on it and if it was going to be fixed I had to depend on them or sit.
There's a ton of things I have zero knowledge about, but if I tell you that I KNOW something, that's exactly what I mean. If I'm not sure I'll say it right up front. Sure I make mistakes, everybody does at times.

Yes, it does suck. I’d rather lay in the snow than in that mud you’re in.

I often bring this up, but there was this one time I ran this big pipe rack out of AbileneTX to ConklinAB. Fuel economy was atrocious. The load was 16 wide 14’6 tall and 50ft long. They routed me through the woods from Battlefords. Had to stop, and bobtail 20 miles to a Shell station for fuel. Ran out of daylight and had to stop on a wide spot on a 2 lane road. Ran out of asphalt too. Finally got unloaded and I went to GrasslandAB to the Flying Hook. Blizzard like conditions. Everyone left their trucks running and marker lights on so that the other trucks could see them to park. Freakin cold and dark as hell in the middle of the afternoon.

Went into the restaurant and it was nice and warm and well lit. Freezing Hell outside, but the food was decent and the waitress was nice. No one was complaining. Sitting in Hell and not 1 complaint. What do you say about a bunch of guys sitting in Hell and enjoying the afternoon?

“Man, these are some rugged SOB’s around here!”

Same with the coal mines. Many want to get rich and it doesn’t always happen, especially when you don’t know how to do your own repairs.

These pics were from Cabin Creek, WV. Coal company spent $17 million on all this belt line, and somebody convinced them they could just pour concrete pads for the stilts..... guess what happened?? Mountain moved and so did the conveyor! Talk about a rough job.... that’s me at the controls of Robo Drill as we called it. I drilled 14” dia holes drilled 5’ in to the bedrock with I-beams from the bottom up full of concrete. That held it lol.

I was grateful to be alive. It was just another day for them.

Ever see “The 13th Warrior”? They’re sailing the ocean in overgrown canoes, hit the perfect storm, the Arab is worried and sick as hell and Norse are telling jokes. You know how the governor of PA puts a travel ban for commercial vehicles every time the weather channel says the possibility of snow? And all the sissies group hug and huddle in fear? The Canadians are probably rolling with laughter.

That’s a bald face lie. You argued up and down that your truck used synthetic blinker fluid when you were training for Werner.
