That's why managing our finances is important. We don't make that kind of money (yet) and we welcome all the brakes/slow downs we get (not initiated by us, slow freight etc) because running 6k+ miles weeks on end gets old quick haha.

We just got a new 2019 Peterbilt 579. This is our 3rd new truck . About every 550 k miles they get you a new one. It had 1042 miles on it from the plant in Texas to Ohio. It has a backcycler seat with heated and cooled seating. It is an ultraloft 579. It is a 12 speed automatic with a Cummins ISX. It has collision avoidance which is annoying but I will get used to it. We didnt take pics yet. Ours is green of course.

You’ll never get use to the collision avoidance. We’ve had it for a few years now and it’s still so annoying.
Cerberus XVI, Eowyn, IndianaMike and 1 other person Thank this. -

Yes it goes 72 mph.

I'm jealous. If we got those at UPSF I would go back on a sleeper.
IndianaMike Thanks this. -
Glad to see a good company for husband and wife teams out there, like so much of trucking alot is smoke and mirrors! Only thing I'd do differently IMHO is have your truck spec'd with an Allison 10spd full automatic transmission instead. Our next truck will have it along with X15 Cummins.
IndianaMike Thanks this.
