only problem is if you have to fit old body on new (rigid) truck, even if width fits points where frame is bended will not fit.
i have spend once 1.5days to find proper frame for old bodies

A promotional video clip of Astra trucks. Astra is the Italian heavy truck division of Iveco. It's not the most well known brand in Europe, except of course in Italy.

that is very rare truck here, except few used ones imported from italy and ones from army i know for few of them. interior is worst than anything i have ever seen, cheapest plastic probably worst than from china. mechanically it is very strong truck. one of them was fair/stock truck was sitting for several years, one is 8x8 150mt crane truck and it is mostly working on iceland.
there are several of them in geology company, they were working a lot in lybia and syria. they have/had their companies in lybia, syria, maroco, egypt, oman as well in neigbour countries.
many of astra are bodybuilded here and exported into africa.
lot of our companies had their companies in those countries and after problems started there they bring some of their trucks here.....most of them are heavier than payload you know 24inch wheels, euro2/3 engines etc.

    Caesar here you go......

330K miles spun a bearing and toasted the engine....2015 MX. I’ve seen the aftermath of one of these personally.

is the paccar MX13 that bad?

I promissed a answer from my friend.
    Yes,you can tip at idle.
    Depends on the trailer.
The trailer he pulled before becoming a O/O had a direct line to the piston and would tip quickly enough at idle.
His present trailer has a hydraulic door and thus a block.
    So no direct line.
He starts at idle till said door is completely open, then raises rpm to 1000 untill piston reaches the last stage.
    Then back to idle.
Non stick loads like gravel or sand,he does not raise the piston all the way.
He says if he wanted to he could allways tip at idle.

I will add that there are zero frameless end dump trailers here.

Question: Do your dump trucks (straight and tractor-trailer) come with the PTO and pump right from the truck manufacturer? I don't believe any of ours do (could be wrong) but from what I've seen all dump trucks have aftermarket PTOs and wet kits installed for dump trailers. Drivers will rev up the trucks when dumping simply because it speeds up the cycle times. They will dump at idle (unless the hydraulic pump is shot) but it is painfully slow.

Oxbow, spsauerland and daf105paccar Thank this.
