By the way all of you mechanical masterminds, I've been meaning to ask:
This truck had a transmission support on the old transmission. It was not a buggy spring, but rather just a piece of rectangular tubing with two bolts running through it that attached to the tranny, and valve springs on top of the tubing that the bolts ran through. You tightened the nuts against the valve springs, which allowed some movement for the transmission.
I have since been told that rear transmission support isn't necessary. What do you all recommend?

The thing I don’t know about is that cat brake. Since the trans is hanging off of it. I don’t have any experience with them so I can’t say one way or the other.

I forgot about the brakesaver too. Must've lost my notes. Or I didn't know there was a test today.
