I was coming from a Christmas party in 2017 and caught a speeding ticket and a DUI on same stop... I plan on attending a 10 week course here in Montgomery, Alabama....before I get my hopes too high...what are my chances of a decent job starting out? Thanks for any advice.
I really wanna be a driver but, DUI in late 15. Chances?

I would say that your chances are extremely low. Many companies won't touch you for 10 years. The ones that would hire you after 3 years are going to want experience.
Ask @Chinatown
But my guess is this is going to be a problem.homeskillet, 88 Alpha, Cyoteugly and 1 other person Thank this. -
It'll be tough in the beginning. I recommend getting a cdl through the 10 week course and go from there.
Eventually, it will work out, but may have to work a couple of "less than desirable" driving jobs in the beginning. At least this way you'll have some experience building up on your work history.

Tell us about the speeding ticket; was it 15 mph or more over? 15 mph and over is classified as "reckless driving."
Here's from TransAm website:
- No DUI convictions in the last two years
- No more than two preventable accidents in the last 36 months
- No reckless driving violations in the last 5 years

Listen to what @Chinatown recommends... He knows what hes talking about, I'm sure there are many guys out there that have made a sucessful career in trucking because Chinatown gave them good advise and helped them to find a company that would be accomidating to thier situations.

@Chinatown it was just a speeding ticket no reckless driving.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Trucking companies insurance considers that as reckless driving.
If that's the case, looks like you're good to go with TransAm after the ticket is 24 mos. old.
We'll find some more to add to your list. -
