Swift does have one of the highest if not the highest accident rate of any trucking company. They have themselves to blame for it.Back in orientation they pissed and moaned about all the accidents that have taken place but make no effort to prevent any future occurrences. They hire anybody of the street and give rushed and poor quality training and tell you ready or not off you go spread your wings and fly. Everybody heard the term babies having babies well it’s the same at swift rookies training rookies, after just 6 months a driver can become a trainer. I believe in order to be a trainer you should need 2-3
years experience and in addition have a perfect safety record. Swift needs to sit new applicants down for an interview and see if they would or would not make a good driver or not, could help weed out they people who quit right off the bat. Also have them take a driving test to see if they just need some fine tuning or have no business driving a truck.

They do? I thought their accident rate was actually kinda low. They are just so large they are in the news all the time.

Well, when you have that kind of turnover you have little choice but to have rookies “training” rookies.

Not many people getting into trucking are safety minded people anymore, they are just doing it for money and don’t care about most others. I have never understood why you simpletons still can’t figure out that a massive company will always have more of just about EVERYTHING. Duh, sharpest tools in the shed!

Bottom of the barrel company. If you haven't seen much in this world you don't have much to compare anything too... Swift is a upgrade from the trailer park their drivers grew up in

Umm, if you will recall, I was fired from Swift for wearing a shirt with a beer logo and I didn’t even work there. Then @snowman_w900 was fired during orientation but they comped him a free meal at the Mexican restaurant. Finally @Humblepie graduated high school with Jerry Moyes, they smoked pot together. When Jerry found out he had slept with his wife in high school, humble was fired

We all have a bone to pick with Swift.

Yeah, she kept coming on to me talk about how swift Jerry was. She said every time they’d get down she knew it would be a swift-knight
