I agree..something is fishy here and I'm getting fed up with it...there's no excuse for the midwest to have no flatbed loads in may..

 

I'm not advocating for cheap rates but for them to say the hell with it and not bid at all...more folks will be leaving soon i can see it now..

 

@JonJon78 the brown nosers on fb group page keep chastising folks for bringing this mess up...claiming there is a ton of frieght right now and then others saying it's just a typical freight cycle that happens every year..i call bs

 

I've been all about Mercer, I have liked it here of course they haven't been perfect as no company is but from what I've seen lately is unacceptable.

The amount of deadheading for me has been Unbelievable. And I'm not talking west coast type deadheading either. This is Midwest I'm talkin...

I called that CHI agent a couple weeks ago and asked her how come I haven't been seeing any shingle load out of Northwest Indiana, and her response was "oh we haven't been getting many trucks coming out to Chicagoland"

That musta been her way of saying we ain't bidding on them.

LOL... Well geez I wonder why you cant get any trucks in your area? If the only loads I see listed are tubing loads coming out of CHI area, i sure and the Hell ain't coming around...

 

I loaded shingles last week out of Michigan city in and that customer informed me that they're screaming for flatbeds...he used to see all kinds of mercer in there, now just a couple a week...so I'm thinking some agents are fos.

 

I haven't seen in months loads from Columbia city IN either..the steel i beams...I'm thinking these morons are just deciding screw everyone and Louisville is just not giving a #### about it obviously..

 

That's the shipper I'm talking about. I even asked my coordinator today about not seeing any loads out of there and she looked up the load history and said theyve only had a "couple" the past week. 1 was listed today picking up next week...

 

Yesterday i loaded out of Michigan for over 2.10 a mile on 1k+ miles going to a decently good area. Ya it had to be tarped. But its a thousand bucks a day to the truck. I'll throw a single 4 ft tarp for that. There was quite a few darn good paying loads on the board up there Monday morning.

 

That used to be my go to load out of the house, not anymore... I know the company Montgomery has been loading dedicated out of there lately but with the volume that place does I cant believe Mercer cant get loads out of there...

That used to be a guy named Zacks account, when the CHI office let him go so did those Columbia City loads.
