@Oxbow and I did a little cooking for the women that tolerate us. Great day to spend with the whole family! MVIMG_20190512_115308.jpg IMG_20190512_115245.jpg

I did the water line in our shop with PEX. From the shut-off to the far end in the opposite corner of a 120' building I spent less than $300.

It also works well for running air lines around a shop.

I've been a PEX fan for 20 years, but I have found one weakness - the "brass" fittings will and do corrode over time. We got our first leaks this year and the fitting was only in service for 13-14 years. Plastic fittings would probably be best, but I was afraid of stresses splitting them. I use the old system with the crimped copper band.

Grandpa built his last house with copper and galvanized pipe. It lasted his lifetime, and it wasn't until about the 50 year mark that the galvanized pipe started rusting shut and the copper drain lines started to get pinholes. In fact, it seems like everything he did started to fail as soon as I was the last one living...

I use flair it fittings on Pex, it's a pain to install them in tight spaces but I never had one leak.

This... Gentlemen... is where trucks go to die. The crappiest of crap holes. I promised myself I’d never take another 34 in this dump but a 10 will have to do...

I did however find a spot that would be great for a 34 in Macon, GA. Or even a 10. But I ain’t fighting my way back through a NB wreck to go park there...
